Danbury’s free leaf-pickup program to run from April 16-May 25
The City of Danbury’s free Spring Leaf Pick-Up Program will begin on Monday, April 16, 2018 and will run for 6 weeks through Friday, May 25.
Please Note:
Only leaves bagged in paper leaf bags with no tape should be left curbside in front of residences for the city’s Highway Department to pick-up. This protocol will be strictly enforced.
NO TAPE OF ANY KIND
NO PLASTIC BAGS
NO LARGE DEBRIS
NO GRASS, ROCKS, DIRT, GARBAGE OR ANIMAL WASTE
Branches will be picked up separately. Limbs must be cut into lengths no longer than 4 feet. No limb may be larger than 4 inches in diameter. Branches must be bundled with twine, no heavier than 35 lbs.
Schedule Details:
The Leaf Pick-Up Program is divided by I-84. Section A is South of I-84 (Zip Code 06810) and Section B is North of I-84 (Zip Code 06811)
Section A will be picked up the first week, April 16 through April 20, 2018.
Residents in this Zip Code are asked to place their bags curbside Sunday evenings.
Section B will be picked up the following week, April 23 through April 27, 2018.
Residents in this Zip Code are asked to place their bags curbside Sunday evenings.
This cycle repeats through May 25, 2018.
Additional Information:
Pick-up dates are subject to change throughout the program. If your bags are not picked up on the scheduled week, they will be picked up prior to the termination of the program.
Ferris Mulch Products accepts leaf bags, and tree and organic yard debris from Danbury Citizens. They are located at 6 Plumtrees Road in Danbury.
