New Kids’ Programs at the Waterbury Library


Dear Editor,

The Silas Bronson Library has launched three new weekly programs and one new monthly program for children this month. All programs are free and open to the public.

Bronson Library Homework Help for children in Grades 4 through 8 is held every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Children’s Room.

Coding Club for Kids, introducing children of all ages to coding, is held every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the library’s Computer Classroom.

After School @ Bronson, featuring crafts, games, cooking and more for ages 9 to 14, is held every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Children’s Room.

A new monthly program, Bronson Bookworms, is a book club for tweens. Bronson Bookworms meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The club will be discussing Orbiting Jupiter on September 28, MiNRS on October 26 and The Crossover on November 23.

The Silas Bronson Library is located at 267 Grand Street in Waterbury, CT. Opening hours are: Mon. – Thurs., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays from Labor Day to Memorial Day, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. For more information, please visit
