The Friends of The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host their fourth annual Hat City Ball on Friday, January 26, 2018—with a speakeasy theme this year! The gala celebrates the museum’s mission to acquire, preserve and interpret the history of our city.
As part of the festivities, the Friends of The Danbury Museum & Historical Society will present CityCenter Danbury with The Hat City Award for Preservation Excellence in recognition of its stalwart dedication to the preservation of Danbury’s nationally recognized historic downtown, its ongoing partnership with the museum and its commitment to the preservation of the history and heritage of our community.
The evening features live music from the Sonny Carroll Orchestra, an open beer and wine bar, a Surf and Turf meal (vegetarian option available), dancing, a spectacular wine pull and a Prohibition Prize Pull (for a list of the items included, please visit the museum’s website in January). The event will be held at The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury.
The museum is currently seeking sponsors and advertisers for the Hat City Ball 2018. Donations to this year’s Prohibition Prize Pull from area businesses are also welcomed. A complete outline with Sponsor, Advertiser and Donor details is available at https:// danburymuseum.org/hat-city-ball. You’ll also find information and a link to purchase tickets online or in person at the museum during regular business hours.
