There is a new foodies’ group in Danbury, CT and they are gearing up to eat their way through downtown and beyond. On Friday, March 9, 2018, DEO or Danbury Eats Out will be meeting at El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant, located at 20 White Street, Danbury, CT, 06810, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. El Ranchero has been voted purveyor of the “Best Guacamole” in Fairfield County. DEO coordinators, Jodi Weisz and Chris Booth promise to take participants through the menus of Danbury’s eclectic and authentically delicious family-owned restaurants, one-bite-at-a-time. These meet ups will include a briefing about each respective restaurant’s chef/owner’s vision, along with tastings of delicious items on the menu. At El Ranchero, participants will experience their one-of-a-kind Chicken/Chile Rellenos and mole from the Pueblo region. Ms. Weisz, an avid foodie who hails from Bronx, NY, is the former co-director of Norwalk Eating and Drinking, the 500-member foodie group in Fairfield County. Mr. Booth is the author of Danbury’s newest foodie blog: “Mad Eaters.”
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and are free of charge. Participants buy their own food and drink and leave their own tip. Go to: http://www.eventbrite.com/ and search for Danbury Eats Out.
