Community Action Agency Hosts 4th Annual Wine Tasting

By Tribuna Staff

The Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut, Inc. (CAAWC) will host its 4th Annual Wine Tasting on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 6 PM to 9 PM at Tarrywile Mansion, located at 70 Southern Boulevard in Danbury. This exciting evening will feature exceptional wines and beers provided by New Fairfield’s Heritage Wine & Liquors and food provided by Texas Roadhouse. In addition, there will be Greek olive oil and cheese sampling. Proceeds from this event will support the food pantry and diaper program.

In 2017, 37,971 meals were provided through our Food Pantry and 170 families accessed our Diaper Program. Your support is invaluable, and donations keep these two programs running.

CAAWC has been serving western Connecticut for over 52 years. The mission is to provide social services and programs to low-income individuals and families in western Connecticut to help them stabilize and improve their lives. The programs delivered include: energy assistance, affordable childcare in a center accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, case management services, employment services and job skills training, a food pantry, a diaper program, housing counseling and assistance, ESL classes and tax assistance (through VITA – Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Checks can be made payable to CAAWC and sent to 66 North Street, Danbury, CT, 06810.
