More than 11 percent of people in our own communities do not know where their next meal is coming from.
These households must make the impossible choice between food and rent, utility bills or medical care.
DAILY BREAD CAN HELP…
Our volunteer-run local food pantry welcomes struggling families, no matter what their circumstances.
Founded in 1984, we now serve about 500 households each month and almost 3,000 different
households during the year.
WITH MORE FRESH, HEALTHY FOOD THAN EVER BEFORE…
A healthy diet is critical to disease prevention, proper child development and general health and
well-being. Today, our clients receive more than 40 pounds of fruit, vegetables, meats, fish and dairy
products along with pantry staples. We benefit from partnerships with farms, gardens, businesses
and the United Way and low-cost goods from the Connecticut Food Bank.
BUT WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT…
As we add new clients each week, we face the increasing challenge of constantly restocking our shelves,
refrigerators and freezers. Please help. You can make checks out to: Daily Bread Food Pantry. If you prefer, use PayPal to pay with a credit card on our website: dailybreadfoodpantry.com.
Your dollars will go far. Here’s what your tax-deductible gift can do:
Your $50 donation = a gallon of milk for 50 families
Your $100 donation = a dozen eggs for 200 families
Your $500 donation = whole roaster chickens for 500 families
And so on….
We invite you to learn more about us. Check out our website, dailybreadfoodpantry.com,

Wishing you a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy 2019!
